Jay-Z Rocks Lamu T-shirt Designed By Kenyan Fashion Designer

Rapper Jay-Z was recently spotted leaving Giorgio Baldi Italian Restaurant in Santa Monica wearing a Lamu Riyadha Mosque T-shirt which has been designed by famed Kenyan fashion designer Zeddie Loky.

On Instagram, an account affiliated to the rapper who is not on social media shared the photo.

“Hov is wearing a Ballroom Marfa trucker hat in turquoise, Ray-Ban sunglasses, a BLKBURD GENES “Lamu Riyadha Mosque” t-shirt, a Cactus Plant Flea Market luxe velvet work jacket that riffs on stoner culture, Planes “Altitude” shorts, a pair of Planes x Stance “Sketched” socks, and a pair of PUMA Ralph Sampson sneakers.” said the account which only posts about Jay-Z.

The Lamu inspired t-shirt which costs about $200 was produced by Loky’s fashion house BLKBURD GENES.

Lokey also took to social media to appreciate Hov wearing his gear.

“I believe everyone in the world is born with genius-level talent. Apply yourself to whatever you’re genius at, and you can do anything in the world.”  JAY- Jay-Z spotted in Santa Monica in @blkburdgenes future vintage, Lamu Riyadha Mosque, a @unesco World Heritage Center on Tuesday,” he posted.

Loky’s success has seen him rise from just an ordinary mitumba seller to dressing top talents in Hollywood. He’s also the founder and CEO of a luxury brand identified as Narok NYC that’s based in New York City, USA, and is well-known for its top-of-the-range suits.

“Growing up, there was a flea market right outside my school that I’d pass every day. Sometimes I stopped by the different stalls. My mother had many friends who sold secondhand clothes, and it occurred to me that I could also make money selling clothes to my fellow students,” said Loky who grew up in Eldoret.
