Pewin Cabs Rebrands PTG Travel

Taxi app Pewin Cabs has officially rebranded to PTG Travel. The company, which has been in business for the last 10 years has evolved and is now ready to scale new heights.

Being among the first to launch its cab-hailing app in the country in 2013 – a move that contributed significantly to corporate transport solutions. Pewin rebrands to PTG Travel in a bid to increase its market share by offering service beyond cabs to the Kenyan market

Speaking at the launch of PTG Travel, Managing Director Justus Kirigua, said, “We are excited about the opportunities the new brand offers us. The transition to PTG Travel is anchored on a three-year growth strategy which includes a Kshs 100M investment to grow our fleet and increase our services to include Bus services, VIP Services and Charter Flight.”

Nairobi County Roads, Transport and Infrastructure CEC Hitan Majevdia, graced the event and congratulated PTG Travel for the bold move. “We are proud of PTG’s strategy to innovate the transport sector in Kenya. Services like corporate transport sharing and Air Charter will greatly enhance road safety and ease congestion on our roads.”

The move to rebrand comes at a time when Kenya’s tourism has improved thus increasing demand for tourism travel.

Mr. Kirigua also spoke about their intent to give back to the community: “There are different modes of transport, and majority of people in our country actually walk to their places of work. We need to improve the walk paths, and make provision for bike lanes. This is something PTG would love to do as part of CSR for the industry.”
