Kenyan female rapper Petra is set to feature Jamaican King of dancehall Vybz Kartel in a new song dubbed ‘Turn off the light’.
The artist hyped the anticipated hit song on her social media platforms after she shared a snippet of the music video teaser hinting of the upcoming release.
This comes days after the duo gushed over each other on social media after Vybz Kartel reposted a video of Petra cat walking to his music ‘Straight Jeans and Fitted’. In response to this post by the Jamaican legend, Petra praised the ‘Colouring This Life’ hitmaker calling him ‘King’.
Petra becomes the first female artist in Africa to feature in a collabo with the dancehall artist although he teamed up with other male artists from Africa like Wizkid in previous songs.
In the song snippet, Vybz Kartel showers Kenyan ladies with praised describing them as the best.
Since their public social media interaction, the duo followed each other on social media and according to Petra, this served as a motivation.
