This past weekend, we have seen the award-winning singer and performer Patoranking invade the 254 in all spaces. Patoranking is in Nairobi for Coke Studio 2017 duty calls but the man commands an aura that his presence was felt everywhere.
The Nigerian top cat had a short news anchoring stint at KTN on Friday night alongside Betty Kyalo. He was on interviews at HBR among other stations with Tanzania’s Ali Kiba and they hinted a collabo is in the making which will be exclusive on Coke Studio.
However, on Saturday night, the young dancehall cat left his mark when he pulled up to the upscale partying zone Kiza club. The place was packed to the rafters and his real fans came out to watch him. The Nigerian Band – The Alternate Band, who are visiting 254 with producer Gospel on the beat were in the building to give the live show a perfect blend. Before Patoranking hit the stage, the band wowed the crowd with some Hip Hop refixes that was so perfect.
Patoranking hit the stage at 1 am and the ladies went berserk. Knowing that the patrons in the building knew his catalogue, it was just a back and forth adlibs on most of his songs. He bounced through jams like No Kissing, Girlie O, My Woman, My Everything, Alubarika, Daniella Wine and much more.
After the performance, Patoranking was all smiles taking selfies with the fans while having the drinks on. He stood out as a friendly celeb who had too much love for the 254. The event was graced by local celebrities like Sauti Sol, Fena among many Nigerian counterparts.
Be sure to keep it K.V for that Coke Studio Music news updates.
