Rhumba star Papa Lando and singer Arrow Bwoy have teamed up for a new banger titled Tumbler. The song which is about their love for tumblers and curvy African women, samples melodies from classic African hits Momou by Franco, Salome by Saida Karoli, and Mr Flavour’s Nwa Baby.
Produced by respected producer iLogos music, this song is the perfect fusion of Rhumba, Bongo and Lingala. Papa Lando who was excited to work with Arrow Bwoy confirmed that this collaboration was a freestyle stating, “We met coincidentally in a studio where we both record and started freestyling to a beat and ended up recording this tune.” The excited singer who is a fan of Arrow Bwoy further added, “I have always been a fan of Arrow Bwoy’s music and I am glad that we finally got to work together.”
Tumbler’s colorful visuals were shot by Big Dreams and they further amplified the message of the song through the curvy models and dancers who spice it up making it entertaining to watch.
Papa Lando is popular for his signature sound fusion genre KiswaNgala which he pioneered. His catalogue features tracks such as Pesa Ni Maua and Ex just to mention a few. Tumbler will be featured in Papa Lando’s upcoming album Mbogi Ya Rhumba which will fuse urban rhumba sounds, Swahili, and Lingala.
