Pack Like A Pro During This Festive Season: 8 Essential Items People Forget To Pack When Traveling

The festive season is here once again. Festivities may mean traveling back to the rural homes or for a vacation for many Kenyans. As exciting as it is to pack for and anticipate the journey, many people forget to carry various essential items. Pack like a pro for your next trip by including these must-have items:

First Aid Kit

Accidents happen. This is why it is essential to carry a mini first aid box when traveling. Ensure it has basic items such as adhesive bandages, cleansing wipes, skin rash cream, antiseptic, gauze dressings, and simple meds such as pain killers and antacids just to mention a few.

Toothbrush and Paste

Despite the importance of dental hygiene, many people forget to carry their toothpaste and toothbrushes. Some people assume that the hotels they are going to will provide toothpaste only to get disappointed. Always ensure that you have a travel toothpaste and toothbrush in your travel bag.

Underwear

As unbelievable as it is, a ton of people get to their destinations only to discover that they forgot to pack underwear. Imagine spending extra money that you hadn’t budgeted for on underwear just because you forgot to pack them.

Umbrella and/or Raincoat

With the unpredictable weather, carrying an umbrella or raincoat is very important. Invest in a good quality pocket-size umbrella to shield yourself from the rain or even the intense heat of the sun wherever you go.

Sunglasses

Buying sunglasses just because you forgot to pack, can cause such an avoidable dent in your travel budget. Not only do sunglasses protect your eyes, but they also add style to your outfits, and make your photos Insta-worthy.

Phone Charger

It is very easy to forget your phone charger on the socket from which you normally charge your phone. Don’t even get us started on the inconveniences of having to borrow or buy another charger. While on this, purchase a power bank too. It will go a long way in keeping your phone charged.

Warm clothes

As you pack remember, to carry a cardigan or jacket to keep yourself warm in case of chilly weather. Also, remember to carry clothing items such as socks and marvins for extra protection from the cold. Your health is your wealth.

Pocket Tissues

Not every restroom that you visit will have tissue paper. Remember to be armed with your own tissue whenever you are traveling to ensure that all your trips to the loos are not only hygienic but also smooth.
