2017’s Most Outstanding Music Videos

04 January of 2018 by

2017 was a great year for 254 art; we saw artists up their game and produce quality work. We saw a rise in quality HD content and more artists shift away from low quality content. Here are some of 2017 most outstanding music videos from the 254.

TBT- Octopizzo

In this video, Octopizzo had the perfect set and the results were immaculate. On his USA tour, he decided to tease TBT as a single off his upcoming album. He had a sick convertible ride and some caucasian vixens to spice up the whole ‘doing it big abroad’ theme. Octo outdid himself on it!

Melanin – Sauti Sol feat Patoranking

The boy band has had a phenomenal year, from touring Kenya and the world to releasing bangers and receiving awards for it. Melanin is a collaborative effort with Nigerian hit star Patoranking which is off an upcoming EP. The video showcases the celebration of the African woman and the visuals captivate the eye from start until end.

Malaika -Nyashinski

The video gives a relatable story for those in love and those about to tie the knot. Malaika has been on the R&B charts for a while and has infiltrated wedding playlists very easily. Nyashinski’s 3rd single has raked up his fan base and turned him into a force.

No Spine – Gabu

Gabu of P-Unit scored himself a club banger for 2017. The jam resonated with the rave and the video did it justice. Set in a club, dancers and B-Boys teamed up to make it a turn up affair. The content also calls the ladies to the floor to dance like they have no spine.

Umeniwahi- Kristoff

For the first time, we saw Kristoff hop on a love song and kill it. The jam has a simple storyline in which Kristoff and his girl are on vacation and he showers her with love. The video was shot in Nigeria and the setting is crispy. The trip is well documented, ends up on the beach showing beautiful scenery and a good time. The video quality is top notch!

China Love- Victoria Kimani Feat R City

This record was a big win for Kenya and for Victoria to have pop stars R City on a record. The story showing scenes from China and USA had us on that very trip with them. The two artists gel so well on the set and have a genuine story to tell.

Jigi Jigi- Willy Paul

Willy Paul has been kept his fans busy in 2017 with both his music and unending theatrics. His talent though is undeniable and he does put it across perfectly. Jigi Jigi is a love song from a Gospel act and it was received with both excitement and criticism. The video was shot in the CBD and the storyline has an easy flow trying to capture the vixens attention.
