Prokraft Africa’s creatives, Osborn and Kevo Abbra recently launched a live installation dubbed “UNTIL NOW”. The event which kicked off last Friday at the Alliance Française has to be the biggest art event of the year in our books. Yes! Already.
Their Afrofuturistic work has always been received with a lot of awe and this event was a testament to that.
For an event set for 7 pm, the turnout was pretty impressive – the place was fully packed by the set time, and more and more people were still streaming by 8 pm. It was almost impossible to hear the DJ set by Blinky Bill above the voices of the excited crowd.
Kevo Abbra took to social media to express his gratitude.

The venue was decked out in such an incredible, experiential and artistic way. Each of the different sections such as the Nyanye Avenue, No Touch Am Forest and the hip hop grandpa’s Kabangu, who were actually present alongside the art; were swarmed, at any point of the night.
You would think the artists who have showcased and spoken at some big events worldwide, would be used to all the love by now but I guess being at home made them even more appreciative.

The exhibition closes on the 25th of February in case you want to catch it.
