On the 8th of April, Kenyans waited in bated breath by their TV screens, laptops and phones for Nyashinski’s Social Media pages to go live with his exclusive pre-listening of his album, ‘Lucky You’.
One and a half hours later and over 50 thousands views, the fans were overly pleased and ready for the solo album which true to his word dropped today.
The 12-track project dropped in the wee hours of the morning and you need to grab your headphones and experience the talent Nyashinski exudes on this album.
The album boasts of a solid production unity, dope selection of beats and exemplary final mastering making it a bop. You can expect Nyashinski’s signature lyrical fashion, which provides a peek into the Kenyan society by addressing various social issues whilst also displaying appreciation for our support.
The title track of the album ‘Lucky You’ gets Nyash on a ranting series, where decries the notion that he is public property and privacy is a myth. People deem him as a brand and he got an image to maintain day in day out, but deep down he loves his space.
Check out other tracks like ‘Greener’ where he stretches his voice to beatbox and delivers some amazing results. ‘Watch Watch’ is a fully Trap sound that he bodies with his rhyme skills, bars and usual braggadocio. The same topic is outlined on ‘GOAT’ where he states his comeback to the scene was timely.
With the first 3 listens, I’ll give the project an 8/10. He covers all edges, love, society, the industry, money, fame and everything we’d expect from Nyashinki. Get the album on all streaming platforms.
