Popular Kenyan singers Nviiri The Storyteller and Bensoul will be headlining the Open Cinema on 2nd October 2021. This will be the 2nd edition of the show after its debut edition which took place in July this year. Open Cinema is an event that seeks to bring people together to celebrate Kenyan music, film, and culture.
Set to be hosted by media personality Nick Ndeda, all the action will be going down at the Karen Blixen Museum, along Karen Road from 12noon. The headliners will be joined on stage by Tha Movement Band and DJ Curtis.
Both Nviiri and Bensoul are currently signed to Sauti Sol’s record label Sol Generation. Their top notch vocal talents, live performance skills and amazing song writing capabilities have put them above their peers making them some of Kenya’s most sought after artists. The two have been basking in the glory of their latest EPs Kitenge (Nviiri) and Medicine (Bensoul), which have been getting favourable reviews and loads of streams.
Apart from good music, the open cinema organizers are also promising to deliver more fun activities such as amazing Kenyan films, a wide variety of food and drinks and great memories. The setup will be in an open garden therefore attendees can carry their lessos and blankets.
