Open Cinema organizers have announced the postponement of the upcoming 2nd edition of the event. The concert which was scheduled to take place this weekend at the Karen Blixen Museum, along Karen Road from 12noon, was to be headlined by Sol Generation signees Nviiri the Storyteller and Bensoul.
In a statement via their official handles, the organizers confirmed Ministry of Health (MOH) concerns regarding the number of people attending the event as the reason behind the postponement. They further apologized for the inconveniences caused and asked their fans to bear them.
The new date is yet to be determined and the Open Cinema conveners have assured those who had already paid for tickets that they would get back their refunds or have their tickets carried forward in accordance with their wishes.
Open cinema is among other events such as Pizza and Wine Festival- Kitenge edition and Thrift Social, which have in the recent past, been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Albeit disappointing, the organizers have promised to give a new date soon and all we can do is wait.
