Nu Nairobi Shows Up Big at Night Dancers

Nu Nairobi is in full bloom, as EA Wave put together a huge show case at The Alchemist this past Saturday. It was a new moon and month-end, so the energy at The Alchemist was electric and alive. The artists and party goers were soaking up the same energy, enjoying the warm night and jamming to good music.

Nu Nairobi is the alternative heart centered philosophy and creative movement erupting in Nairobi. At the heartbeat of Nu Nairobi is the music put together by fresh production and amazing vocals. EA Wave are the collective of producers in the forefront of the Nu Nairobi movement.

Tetu Shani, Mayonde, Inami, Cosmic Homies, Trina, Iche and Yellow Light Machine among many more acts all gave magical performances. Toya Delazy was in the building, and jumped onstage for a surprise performance; Delazy was in town for her Africa tour which went down the next day at Treehouse.

Night Dancers was spooky yet colorful and overflowing with creativity. Organized by EA wave, over 15 local and international acts and sets played, and the party was still going strong way into the Sunday morning, with soundscapes from Dark Meme and EA Wave crew Jinku and Hiribae closing out the epic night dedicated to night dancers.
