Kenya’s fast rising R&B singer Nikita Kering is among the 10 African artists selected for the 2nd edition of the Apple Music’s Soul September campaign. This is a project that seeks to shine the spotlight on leading African talent in New School R&B and Soul.
Acccording to Apple Music, Soul September will feature exclusive playlists from the 10 selected artists. The playlists will be curated to include the artist’s favourite R&B songs of all time and also songs that have been vital in helping them design their own unique sound.
Nikita who was very elated to be part of this campaign stated, “I chose these songs for my Apple Music playlist because they all ooze confidence in their own way, which is a big part of who I am. They are also a healthy balance between the elements of throwback R&B and modern trap vibes. I know anyone who listens to R&B has at least half of these songs on their playlists. They rock!”
The sultry singer is basking in the glory of her most recent EP A Side Of Me which is the home to hits such as Ex, Crossing Lines and Better Than Ever just to mention a few.
Other African artists selected in the Soul September campaign include: Langa Mavuso, Moonga K, Hunter Rose, Joda Kgosi, Nalu, Fireboy DML, Tems, Buju and Oxlade.
