The first Thrift Social of 2019 would have been happening this Sunday at the Waterfront in Karen.
Fans who were looking forward to the event will have to wait for the organizers to set a new date due to the last minute cancellation by the main act, alternative rapper and singer from Nigeria Santi will not be able to perform “due to unforeseen conflict in his travel schedule.”
The Thrift team shared the message the artist had shared on their Facebook page apologizing for the mix up and assuring everyone that they still look forward to the event on a future date.
To our #ThriftSocial Family.
Due to this unforeseen travel schedule conflict, we have decided to push our event dated for March 3rd, 2019 to a later date which shall be communicated via our official social media channels. We shall be issuing full refunds for all ticket sales and vendor payments within 72hrs. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to hosting Santi in Nairobi in the near future.
To the artists, DJs, vendors and everyone that’s been working with us, we’d love to say a special thank you with great hopes that we shall come back even bigger & better. Be back soon.”
Taio, Shishi, Bey-T, Wanja Wohoro and Mix Master Lenny were also supposed to be performing at what is termed as Africa’s biggest fashion market and a platform where creatives and vendors network as they showcase their unique talents and style.
We look forward to the first TS of the year, when all these issues are sorted out.
