Radio host Nick Ndeda has returned to radio a year after he left Radio Africa Group.
Ndeda is now the Breakfast host at KBC English Service.
On social media, the presenter cum actor revealed that the move was unexpected not just to his fans but also to him.
“If you’d told me a month ago that not only would I be back on radio but I’d be hosting the breakfast show on Kenya’s national broadcaster!!!??? 😎🙄😀,” he said on social media.
“Yoo! 2022 you keep surprising and humbling me!! So, catch me on @kbcenglishservice_ke and let’s get the weekdays started fresh!!”
The presenter left Radio Africa Group after a decade. He was hosting the Evening Drive alongside Lynda Nyangweso.
At KBC, Ndeda was more than excited to meet his childhood heroes who motivated him to pursue radio. He confessed that meeting veteran KBC presenter John Karani was more than special to him having grown up listening to him.
“I don’t believe in coincidence, only providence. When I was a kid I listened to this guy’s show and would tape them and pretend to be him when I’d replay them later,” he said.
“Fast forward to this year and he’s trained me, given me wisdom and passed this baton of hosting this mega show!! Life is cray like that. Love you @johnkaranijk You are an absolute legend. 💯👊🏾 Respect.”
Karani was a popular radio presenter in the late 80s and early 90s. He had retired and moved to Tanzania but after 16 years away, was recalled to return to KBC as a host and producer.
