Celebrated media personality Fridah Mwaka has announced her exit from KTN after 3 years of working at the station. Mwaka who has been a Swahili presenter at the station made this revelation on Sunday, March 21 as she marked her last assignment.
According to the KTN presenter, even though leaving the station was a difficult choice, she admitted that she is ready to take up a new task and focus on other interests.
The presenter joined the station in March 2018 to take up Mashirima Kapombe’s space after she left for Royal Media Services.
In a message to her fans, Mwaka assured that she will maintain her engagements with them and they should not shy off from interacting with her when they meet her.
“You have been my fans and always made me better in this field of Journalism. Time has now come for me to leave KTN News. Allow me to do the hardest thing. I do not have a choice but to say goodbye.
“I thank The Standard Group, KTN News crew, my fellow journalists, friends and fans. If you meet me in the field any day, call me Fridah Mwaka and I will respond. Goodbye,” she said in her statement
She further hinted that she would make a comeback on TV screens without revealing further details on the same. Before joining KTN, Mwaka worked at Kubamba radio where she hosted the ‘Jikoni’ show.
