New Film Tells Story Of Inspirational Photojournalist

Dan Eldon led a remarkable life. An activist, adventurer, photographer and journalist who grew up in Nairobi, graduating from the International School of Kenya and using his love of life to pursue a career that would ultimately lead to his death.

And now a film has been made about his life, telling of his travel to countries far and wide, his work in refugee camps, his business acumen and his position as the youngest staff photojournalist at Reuters.

He built a life that anyone would be proud to call their own – and inspired so many along the way.

The Journey is the Destination follows Daniel as a unique figure who was driven to change the world and to document that change. He kept journals of his photographs and paintings, which serve as a commentary of the things he saw.

The film will be screened for the first time anywhere in Africa, at the ISK on Friday the 12th of May from 5.30pm.
