In the new free plan, Netflix users will not be required to provide payment information during the sign-up.
About one quarter of Netflix movies and television shows catalog will be available to Kenyans
Netflix revealed it’s making about one-quarter of its movies and television shows catalogue available to Kenyan users.
This comes off the heels of Eddie Butita’s partnership with Netflix in the popular Netflix sitcom ‘Upshaws’.
Cathy Conk, Director of Product Innovation at Netflix said, “If you’ve never watched Netflix before — and many people in Kenya haven’t — this is a great way to experience our service,”
“And if you like what you see, it’s easy to upgrade to one of our paid plans so you can enjoy our full catalogue on your TV or laptop as well.”
Netflix is yet to disclose how long the Free plan will be available to Kenyan users.
