“It’s Kenyan cuisine with a twist!” Michelle Slater, General Manager at Eat Out said when she kicked off the Nairobi Restaurant Week at the Tribe Hotel last Thursday. Playing host to an array of guests that include bloggers, sponsors and journos, she highlighted that “Nairobi Restaurant Week is the ultimate culinary experience. Our city’s vibrant dining scene takes centre stage for 10 days, with chefs pulling out all the stops to wine and dine customers. It’s truly the perfect way to kick off the new year and celebrate our blossoming restaurant scene.”

Now in its fourth year, the Nairobi Restaurant Week has become the most anticipated event for foodies looking to experience the culinary offerings of some of the best restaurants in town. This year will see over 60 establishments offer a 2-course lunch at KSH 950 and a 3-course dinner, with a complimentary Absolut vodka cocktail drink, at KSH 1950.

In a bid to promote responsible drinking, EatOut has partnered up with a taxi-hailing app, Little Cabs, to offer discounted taxi rides to and from restaurants which can be redeemed using a voucher code. Other sponsors include Wrigley, Bidco, Toyota, Tribe Hotel, Radio Africa Group, Waba, Brown’s Cheese, Kenya Tourism Board and Yummy Magazine.
This year, when you step out to enjoy the NRW2017 you will have a chance to win some incredible prizes including a foodie trip for two to Bangkok sponsored by Holiday Bazaar and Emirates, Samsung phones, EatOut restaurant vouchers and a host of other delicious goodies.
This year, EatOut will support Farm Africa, an international organization that works to build a prosperous rural Africa, as part of their CSR initiative. Farm Africa helps farmers to increase their harvests to build their incomes and sustain natural resources, finding effective ways to fight poverty.
