Nairobi Fashion Week was a glorious showcase of African talent. The fashion industry showed up to view collections from across the continent and beyond.
This year’s event theme dubbed ‘Mama Afrika’ seeks to empower the African Continent through fashion, by portraying Africa’s self-sustainability, hard work, resilience and its natural beauty.
Designers who were center stage this year include Atelier Iyke Williams of Dee Iyke Fashion House from Accra Ghana, David Alford from Zimbabwe, Roar Clothing from Benin, Kenyan Milliner Chloe Mitchell whose caps have been worn by the gorgeous Lupita Nyongo, Tiffany Brown from the USA also showcased her beautiful earth toned collection.
There was also a collection of pop up fashion shops during the duration of Nairobi Fashion Week.
