Kenya Film Commission (KFC) is calling for submissions for its “My Kenya My Story” Mobile Phone Film Competition before it closes its doors on May 21, 2021.
The competition that targets filmmakers, film enthusiasts, and amateur filmmakers is seeking to inspire and showcase the creativity of Kenyan filmmakers from all walks of life.
The nominees will be announced on June 1, 2021, and the event will be on June 25.
To participate in this contest, one must be a Kenyan and submit films produced in Kenya.
As the name suggests, the film must be recorded using a mobile phone while still maintaining good quality.
Only individuals of 18 years and above are eligible to make submissions. The films must be between 3-5 minutes long, can be of any genre but must obey the My Kenya My Story theme.
