Muze Open Air Concert finally went down over the weekend. This was the 2nd Edition of the concert and its headlining star was South African DJ Black Coffee. With the venue being the Ngong Race Course, the show commenced from 2 pm and went on till late.
This concert was a celebration of Afro House music DJs and its line-up of performers lived up to the hype. Many Afro House music enthusiasts thronged the concert ready to enjoy some amazing music. Attendees were spoilt for choice as far as food and drinks were concerned. There was a variety of brands such as Craft Beer, Hennessy, and Redbull among the sponsors.
Starting off, was award-winning DJ MGM who did a stupendous job warming up the stage. He set the pace for the rest in his almost 2-hour long set. MGM was immediately followed by Electronic and House music DJ Chucky who picked up the pace to new heights.
The vibrant and energetic Jahawi then took over and by this time the fans were screaming for more mixes. DJ Foozak came in after Jahawi taking it a notch higher with his deck skills to the delight of the audience. His set was followed by Deep House Music producer and DJ Vidza, whose stage presence and dynamic set took the crowd to a whole new frenzy.
She was followed by the super talented Suraj who never disappoints. He is popular for his unique House Music Mixes that are a fusion of ethnic tribal elements and current electronic sounds. Soon after Suraj’s set was Kajiado’s finest Saint Evo who wowed the crowd as he paved the way for the headliner.
At around 10 pm, the headliner Black Coffee got on stage and the crowd’s reaction was explosive. Fans were chanting and screaming in anticipation of his set. The South African star got to business and showed off his legendary House Music mixing talent. Part of his performance included his collaboration with popular French DJ David Guetta and it sent the crowd to a frenzy. Some of the fans even joined him on stage to cheer him on through the performance.
The show came to a close after singer, producer, and DJ Blinky Bill’s eccentric performance. The perfect way to sum up an Afro House music concert.
