Muthoni Drummer Queen Shares Stage With The Black Eyed, David Guetta

Singer Muthoni Drummer Queen during the weekend represented Kenya at France’s biggest festival “Les Vieilles Charrues”.

MDQ, with the assist of her long-time Swiss collaborators Jean ‘Hook’ Geissbuhler and Greg ‘GRBeats’ Escoffey, performed to a crowd of 25,000 people a thing very few Kenyan artists have come close to.

She shared the stage with big names such as The Black Eyed Peas, Ben Harper and Electro DJ superstar David Guetta.

Taking to Instagram, MDQ posted a photo with the Black Eyed Peas saying she has been a fan.

“No exaggerating, #BEP are literally the mark on the wall for me. I’ve been a fan for so long, and as an artist, they’re the guiding light for how far we can take our Kenya/Swiss combo. Thank you for everything you have done for music, for creators and for the culture,” she said in a post.

Les Vieilles Charrues is one of the biggest music festivals in France, priding itself on its multi-genre billing that reliably has something for everyone.

Held annually in early summer in the city of Carhaix in Brittany, the festival is one of the country’s most adored, bringing hundreds of thousands of fans from France and abroad.
