08 January of 2019 by

Renowned music producer Bruce Odhiambo is dead. He was pronounced dead today morning after a long battle with heart related ailment. He had gone to India last year in October to replace his pacemaker in order to stabilize irregular heartbeats.

The veteran producer who is also an ex-chairman, of the Youth Enterprise Development Fund, developed complications after his return from India. He was then admitted to the Nairobi Hospital where he was admitted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) before he met his death. His family confirmed the demise of the producer but declined to comment further on the issue by asking the media to respect their privacy.

Bruce was the owner of the Johari Cleff Productions which was home to some of the best music produced by Kenyan artistes such as Amos and Josh. Bruce will be remembered for his contribution to the music industry. He was the founding director of the Kenya Association of Music Producers (KAMP), a collective management organization that collects and distributes royalties on behalf of music producers.

Mr Odhiambo will also be remembered for his tenure at the helm of Youth Fund where he resigned unceremoniously after the 180 million scandal. Our sincere condolences go out his family and friends.
