16 April of 2018 by

Welcome back to our weekly spotlight on what’s trending in the 254 music space. We keep tabs on the culture, movers and shakers dropping hot tunes for our listening pleasure. Here are some of the bangers you should have on your playlist.

Otile Brown & Sanaipei Tande- Chaguo La Moyo

A perfect collabo just dropped here between Otile Brown and Sanaipei and they did mesh perfectly with this love ballad titled ‘Chaguo La Moyo’. This perfect wedding song sang in Swahili brings out maturity in both artists making you listen and admire what they have to say. The video plays a major role in making the song a success and I think Sanaipei should ride on this wave till her album drops.

Willy Paul & Harmonize -Pilipili

Willy Paul the Gospel posterchild who treads lightly on a fine line between secular and gospel music is back again with another hit featuring Tanzanian hitmaker Harmonize. The Bongo/Chakacha banger titled ‘Pilipili’ paints a picture of the new age love and its strains. The two artists deliver dope verses and the production of the joint is stellar. The jam is a collabo between Wasafi records and Teddy B.

Wahu – My Everything

Singer Wahu is steadily cementing her place on the gospel scene and she just released a second single titled ‘My Everything’. The ballad paints a picture of her faith and relationship with God. The video has a storyboard of a mother asking for God’s help at her weakest point during her husband’s sudden illness. This jam is reassuring and has a message attached to it and Wahu incredibly delivered on it.
