Music Monday: What’s Hot In The Kenyan Music Scene

It’s been a minute since we checked out what’s hot in the 254 music scene, but we are back with a bang. The scene is bubbling very well and we have a hard work ripple from the top acts who are competing for relevance.

Here are some of the bangers.

Octopizzo – Level Up

We are still waiting for the album but Octo is making the wait worthwhile. He just dropped Level Up, a trap banger where he taunts his peers about his fame, money and overall wellbeing scaling high up. Octo has mastered the new trap sound and his flow is an undeniably top notch.

Stella Mwangi- 10 Toes

Stella Mwangi aka STL has blessed us with 10 Toes,  a banger which serves as a statement that she still got her lyrical ammunition ready and steady to fire at her competition. Stella has her mind on the international audience especially in Europe, hence the English rhyme set but she never forsakes her Kenyan roots and Swahili has to be there. 10 Toes came out under her label, Badili Akili music, and it’s available on all streaming points.

Femi One Feat Mejja & Jack-Jack On The Beat- Zaga Zaga

Kapuka is alive and kicking and you know Mejja Okwonkwo comes through with most hilarious rhymes. Femi teams up with Mejja for the first time for Zaga Zaga while Jack on the beat delivers a fire beat. Femi was recently under fire for switching from hip-hop but it seems she will move in the direction of music where the bread is. To be honest, Zaga Zaga has no message, it is just a club banger and a one time listen and keep it moving.

I shoot to the moon because if i miss i land on stars. My Life is Now!! So come join me and we find out the next escapade.
