When Mohammed Ali left his media job to join politics, a number of Kenyans had reservations in regard to this move and he became subject to criticism for halting his role of exposing malpractices in different sectors.
Being one of the best investigative journalists in the country, the media personality had gained a huge following with many of them having high expectations after he clinched the Nyali MP seat.
With his absence having been felt in the industry for over 4 years, the politician is now set to make a comeback as a media owner.
In a report by a local blog, the former KTN journalist is said to have already acquired a license to start his media station. As indicated in the registration documents, he filed his radio station dubbed MO Radio under his Jicho Pevu Limited company.
In yet another post confirming his new move, Mohammed Ali also announced that his company is now accepting applications from radio presenters and Deejays ahead of the launch of the station under the 88.0 FM frequency.
“Are you a talented radio presenter or DJ? If yes, then you’re the one we are looking for,” reads his post
The radio station will be based in Mombasa and the politician describes it as the newest and coolest radio station.
