Former ‘Jicho Pevu’ investigative journalist and Nyali MP Mohammed Ali has unveiled a new radio station dubbed ‘Mo Radio’.
The news was broken online by Kiss 100 morning talk show host Kamene Goro. She posted a picture next to Moha in the radio station which was adorned by a large picture of Bob Marley on the wall.
“Look at That!!!! Well done @mohajichopevu So proud of you Bro,” she wrote.
The station is based in Mombasa on frequency 88.2 FM.
The station advertised earlier for job vacancies, looking for presenters and DJ’s.
“Are you a talented Radio presenter or DJ? If yes, then you are the one we’ve been looking for. Here is a chance for you to work in Mombasa’s newest and coolest radio station,” Moha posted.
Moha has been absent from the media industry for over 4 years but his passion for the career has never left. His career in politics has been very controversial and come under heavy scrutiny since taking office.
Moha is the latest politician to own a radio station, alongside the Moi family, which owns shares in The Standard Group and the Kenyatta family which owns shares in Media Max, which runs Milele FM, Kameme FM, K24 television and more.
