Mejja, Bahati, and Sauti Sol are among Kenyan singers who will feature in a TikTok Campaign dubbed #IamAfrican.
The campaign, which is a collaboration between TikTok and the African Union, is set to go down on May 25 on Africa Day.
The campaign calls on users to share their views on what makes them proudly African across various categories, including music under the hashtag #IamAfrican. The best videos will be featured on Trace TV.
“As we continue to prioritise spreading joy, creativity, inclusivity, diversity on the platform, we call on everyone to get involved.” said TikTok content operations manager for Africa Boniswa Sidwaba.
Other local artists who will be featured in the campaign include Nameless, Sailors, Bensoul and Nviiri the storyteller and Willis Raburu.
