Set To Honour The Year’s Most Downloaded Tunes

05 February of 2018 by

It comes about once a year – online publisher is once again teaming up with music festival ONGEA! to award the most downloaded Kenyan music of 2017.

The award ceremony will take place at the Eastern African music summit in Nairobi on the 17th of this month at the Saint Center.

It marks the fourth time that the awards ceremony will be held – honouring artists, collectives, publishers and aiming to, as usual, shine a light on the successes and talk about the challenges of yet another year in music for creatives.

The winners are selected based on the number of downloads on the platform and this year’s categories will include most downloaded hip hop, Gospel, male, female and group picks, among others.

Artists who will feature have made an impact over the past year in their respective fields, including Daddy Owen, Timmy T Dat, Nyashinski, Avril, NaiBoi, Willy Paul and Le Band among a host of Set To Honour The Year’s Most Downloaded Tunes.

ONGEA! runs 12pm-10pm daily, from Thursday 15th  to Sunday 18th February and entry is free at SARIT CENTRE.
