Kenya Night was sponsored by Danish lager brand Turbog who first unveiled a new music campaign which follows global music trio Major Lazer on a journey of cultural discovery last year. This was kicked off by having for the first time in Kenya the trio comprised of record producer Diplo, and DJs Jillionaire and Walshy Fire.
The night was praised as a well-organised gig with over 3000 revellers thronged Carnivore Grounds to have fun. Major Lazer was a trending topic for the entire weekend, most patrons noting that music was top notch.
The Djs on the rooster who included Suraj, Kace, L.A Dave, Dinku and Angolan international act Djeff.
Donning Kenyan jerseys, Major Lazer held a two-hour set playing different versions of their hit songs like Bumaye, Lean On, Particula, Cold Water, Light It Up, Sua Cara, Run Up and many more. They even had special Dubplates made for the Kenyan market by legendary producer Dynamiq. The hardest hit was Pana by Tekno Miles which had a Kenyan Ring to it, see below.
