Kenyans have been radiant since Sunday following Disney’s remake of the 1994 classic ‘The Lion King’ premiere in London.
Kenyans took to social media to celebrate after spotting the logo of Magical Kenya in a banner in the event that had stars such as Beyoncé, Jay Z, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. All these stars took the photos against the banner.
Kenya Tourism Board (KTB), which has really been pushing tourism the past few years, took to social media to celebrate also saying the placement meant to show Kenya is an ‘undisputed home of safari and adventure’.
“It was Magical in London as #TheLionKingMovie premiered. #TheLionking movie was largely inspired by the diverse landscapes and abundance of wildlife in #MagicaKenya’s National parks and Reserves. This Affirms Kenya as the undisputed home of safari and Adventure. #EmbracetheMagic,” tweeted KTB.
The Walt Disney Pictures produced film is an animated movie featuring a staggering number of high-profile voice actors including Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé as Nala, and James Earl Jones reprising his role as Mufasa.
It’s a remake of the 1994 classic animation that was shot in Kenya.
