It’s the Oscars of the fashion realm: the Met Gala – the biggest night out in the fashion fundraising calendar held its 2019 edition.
The Met Gala 2019 took place on Monday evening at the New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The annual invite-only event witnessed some of the biggest stars turn heads in their over-the-top look as per their interpretation to this year’s theme, around the idea of ‘Camp’.
And our very own Lupita didn’t disappoint – she made quite a colorful statement!
The black panther star donned fluorescent rainbow Versace gown featuring pink and rainbow ruffles along her shoulders. Her towering afro was accessorized with gold combs to demonstrate the luxuriousness of natural hair texture.
Ms. Nyong’o completed her head-turning look with bold, glittering eyeshadow and glossy lips.
The Met Gala is popular for bringing together some of the most famous faces in the world of fashion, film, music, and art in general to raise funds for the Met’s Costume Institute.
