Award-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o on Saturday took her parents to the global premiere of her latest movie ‘Us’ at the South by South West Film Festival.
Lupita flew her dad, Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang’ Nyong’o, and her mum Dorothy Nyong’o for the event which is meant to celebrate raw innovation and emerging talent in film.
“Us”, a horror starring Lupita and Winston Duke has been directed by Jordan Peele. Lupita confessed that he wanted to work with the director after watching “Get Out”. Us will be released on March 22.
The movie which centres on a couple who took their family to a beach house for vacation spends time with another family but things change when their house they are staying in is broken into by their look-alike.
