In case you missed it, one of the biggest opening nights in film has already taken place – and January is still not over!
Arguably the most anticipated film of this year, Black Panther was certain to bring out the heavyweights in both film as well as fashion.
It all went down at the Dolby Theatre to honour the stars and those behind of the scenes of the production starring Chadwick Boseman as a black superhero who becomes king of a high-tech African nation called Wakanda.
The invitation called for a ‘Royal touch’ which the films other stars including Lupita Nyong’o and Angela Bassett obeyed to the max, making use of bright colours, rich textures and gold accessories.
Check out the rest of the fashion:
The boys in squad, including Mike Colter and David Oyelowo did not disappoint either, sporting colorful dashikis and turning the party into a true celebration.
There were definitely more than a few stunners on the carpet, but Lupita kind of blew the competition away, with her royal purple and armor-like corset of deep tone jewels. So spectacular; we can’t wait to see how her fashion unravels over the international premieres to what has already seemingly taken the world by storm.
Black Panther premieres on the 16th of Feb, around the world.
