Lilly Singh Continues On Her Mission To Empower Kenyan Girl – #GirlLove Rafiki

Canadian YouTube star, Lilly Singh- popularly known as Superwoman is on Mission. Lilly and WE movement are banding together again on something even bigger!

The #GirlLove Rafiki bracelet which supports Lilly’s mission to educate Massai girls and create jobs in Samburu, Kenya has been revamped. The new #GirlLove Rafiki is part of Lilly’s birthday goal to help girls in Kenya go to school.

This second bunch of bracelets are made with glass beads on a stretchy 20″ cord. Accented with brass charms and #GirlLove tag. In addition, you can wear it your way- as a bracelet, necklace, anklet and more! This will also help to reach a wider demographic i.e men can also have a chance to style up in a Rafiki bracelet.

After last year’s outreach to nearly 43 countries, Lilly hopes to reach to now 223 countries across the world. In her latest YouTube campaign video, she says: “#GirlLove is about building each other up, leaving behind the negativity and achieving amazing things together. With an education, girls have a place to share strength, ideas and support. It’s the ultimate kind of #GirlLove….”

Using traditional art forms, each piece is handcrafted by a local woman in Kenya who is empowered through earning a fair wage for her work.

The bracelet which retailed at $15 per piece sold over 30,000 pieces last year which enabled over 600 girls to receive an education and create jobs for more women in the community. This year the bracelet will retail at $18 with an additional #GirlLove Rafiki plus pin set at $28 per piece from now until October 11th which is Day of The Girl.
