Rapper King Kaka has urged fellow rappers to mentor younger artists that are still trying to make a name in the industry.
King Kaka, who started his career alongside fellow rappers Octopizzo and Khaligraph Jones, urged them, together with Nyashinski, to mentor younger rappers to ensure the music industry grows.
“This challenge goes to you guys,” King Kaka says in a video posted on his timeline.
“Just take one rapper. The one you feel raps like you or has talent and tell Kenyans that this is the next big thing. Stick with him for two or three years until he/she picks up.”
Octopizzo and Nyashinski haven’t focused on mentoring the younger generations though have done collabos here and there with some.
Jones and King Kaka, on the other hand, have taken a few artists under their wings and pushed their brands.
Under Kaka Empire, King kaka signed artists such as Raj, Shiko Femione, Phy, Owago Onyiro and others.
Jones, through his Khali Cartel freestyles, has ensured rappers get a chance to showcase their skills.
