Cannes Film Festival is the one stop shop for all celebrity glitz and glamour to the French Riviera. The annual festival held in Cannes previews new films of all genres including documentaries from around the world.
Last year we had the first Kenyan Film maker Wanuri Kahiu strut and showcase her work at the festival. This year we have another first one.
Rapper, poet, producer and entrepreneur King Kaka aka Rabbit the King is the first Kenyan musician to grace the Cannes festival stage and this is huge for the motivation and inspiration.
In August 2018, King Kaka was unveiled as the Brand ambassador for the French cognac Remy Martin. This was under the “One Life Live Them” campaign which salutes the “slash generation” who are not defined by one thing they do, but by the multifaceted lives they lead.
By that token, King Kaka flew to France to attend the 72end edition of the film festival in order to mingle with like-minded humanitarian celebrities. Following his social media pages, King Kaka is hanging out with the likes of Selena Gomez among other attendees.
He got the blessings of the French Ambassador to Kenya Kim Ramoneda after paying her a courtesy call at the embassy.
King Kaka is on a winning streak as he is promoting his newly released single ‘Far Away’ featuring American legend Cassidy.
