We all knew another round was coming. We weren’t just sure when or just how cocky it will be.
Kaka Empire founder, King Kaka, has followed up his first edition of punchline-ridden, lyrical hit, ‘Round One’, with “Round 2” just as he promised a few weeks ago.
But what the rapper turned CEO failed to mention then, was that he’ll be premiering a talented rapper called Mbithi when dropping the follow-up.
He did and Mbithi wowed.
Round 2, just like 1, is heavily laced with metaphors and punchlines, still lyrical, but most of all, gives a lost style of hip-hop that artists have greatly ignored in this new-age hip-hop dominated by Trap and Mumble rap.
King Kaka didn’t share whether the new rapper is Kaka Empire’s latest signee. Mbithi’s verse in the track, all the same, is a killer and worth your time.
The video’s cast – Ole Gang – isn’t different from the one used in Round 1. The visuals have been directed by popular producer Johnson Kyalo while the song has been produced by Other Guys and Boxhouse Studio.
