Kenyan Hip Hop act King Kaka stands at the helm as the only act in the 254 to ever be interviewed at the world famous Hot 97 on the morning Radio show hosted by Ebro Darden, Laura Stylez, and Peter Rosenberg.
If you are an ardent fan of Hip Hop, then you must know the only New York station Hot 97, that did shine the light on the emerging fad of Hip Hop back in the late 80’s and 90’s. This today the station is referred to as the Home Of Hip-Hop.
King Kaka being the only Kenyan act to ever land an interview there is a big fete. In fact, you can count the number of African artists who have landed an interview on the station by hand.
The rapper traveled to New York USA for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s annual Goalkeeper’s event which will be graced by renown world celebrities and leaders, to discuss ways to accelerate progress toward achieving the 17 Global goals for sustainable development set by world leaders at the United Nations.
The rapper, King Kaka is scheduled to speak alongside Bill Gates, Graca Machel and Ed Sheeran tomorrow because of his Sanitary Bank Campaign that seeks to keep 100,000 girls in school. So far the campaign has reached 10,000 girls.
When all is said and done we have to applaud King Kaka for the moves he is making and shinning the 254 name high and above.
