From out-of-town concerts to intimate live shows to brunch, we are sure that you will be spoilt for choice this weekend.
Europe Day
The European Union will be celebrating Europe Day at the University of Nairobi on Friday 5th. This event brings together the best of Kenya’s creative economy with a skills exhibition and concert featuring top rapper Octopizzo. In addition to that, there will also be other activities such as virtual reality, illustrated comics, DJ’ing, instrumentation, creative writing as well as expert advice on Study in Europe opportunities. The Sundown Sessions
The Sundown Sessions: Acoustic Friday Night will be graced by Tetu Shani on Friday 5th at The Other Room, The Social House Nairobi. The show opens its gate at 6:30 pm. Contact 0709216000 to reserve your seat(s).

Whitecap New Jack
If you are looking for an out-of-town show, then get ready to groove to the rhythm of the iconic New Jack 90s era at the Whitecap New Jack. The action goes down on the 6th and 7th at the RX Rallycross event in Machakos Peoples Park. This musical meet-up promises an unforgettable experience filled with great music, delicious food, and the finest quality beverages provided by Whitecap. Walker Town
Yet another out-of-town event, the Walker Town events series takes its next edition to Nakuru this weekend. The concert will be going down at the Rift Valley Sports Club, on 6th May 2023. The lineup has a selection of both local and international acts with the headliner being Johnnie Walker lead ambassador Nyashinski who will perform alongside Nigerian Afrobeat star Joeboy among other stars. The DJ line-up includes DJ Joe Mfalme, DJ Pierra Makena, and DJ Protégé. Walker Town organizers are promising a ton of fun activities – food, drinks, gaming, fashion, and art. Muze Club Presents Atmos Blaq
South African electronic music maestro Atmos Blaq will be live at the MUZE Club Westlands on Saturday 6th. The self-taught producer is set to perform alongside MUZE resident DJs Foozak, Vidza, and Sir Loin. Secure your tickets on the official Muze Club website. The show kicks off at 9 pm.

Swahili Brunch
Foodies will get a special treat at the Swahili brunch on Sunday 7th at the Harmony Center, 43 General Mathenge Road from 11 am. Hosted by Binti Afrika and Ethos, the event will be serving a variety of tasty vegan Swahili dishes as well as a happy hour featuring a special cocktail of the day. Furthermore, there will also be a live set by Binti Africa. Tickets are retailing at Mtickets.

Cheche Live Sessions
Singer-songwriter Kendi Nkonge – Mohol will be live at the Cheche Sessions stage with her soulful voice on Sunday 7th. The show is taking place at the Cheche Books and Café on Kauria Close, Lavington, Nairobi from 3 pm. The program also includes a podcast just in between the main show, among other fun activities.
