Kenya’s Afrosoul/R&B singer, songwriter and performance artist Xenia Manasseh is the 5th act to be picked for the 2020 emPawa Africa mentorship program.
Xenia was hand-picked by Mr.Eazi who is the brain behind the program. emPawa equips African artists with the tools, knowledge, network, and investment to grow and export their music from Africa to the world.
Xenia moves between USA and Kenya and is an alumnus of famed
Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Business/Management. She plays the guitar, the piano and writes for other artists besides writing her own stuff. Her EP falling apart is doing a great number on all streaming platforms.
emPawa will offer 30 artists funds to film their music video as well as offer mentorship and guidance from cemented names like Diamond Platinumz, Sarkodie, Kwesta, Guilty Beatz, Juls, E. Kelly, DJ Neptune, Diplo and Mr Eazi himself, who will all be participating as mentors.
“The #emPawa30 will include 10 artists from Nigeria, 10 artists from other countries on the African continent, and five U.K.-based African artists, with the remaining five spots open to African-born artists in countries around the world, including the U.S. and Canada,” a press statement stated.
