As the 2022 World Cup kicks off in Qatar many viewers around the globe will be tuned and glued to their seats not wanting to miss a moment of the action.
Kenyan Comedian Meshack Kiptoo Biwott also known as “Arap Uria” has teamed up with SuperSport to promote the football tournament.
Through the campaign dubbed “Sounds of the World Cup” fans will have a front-row seat to the action as they help build excitement for the tournament.
Uria rose to fame after impersonating famous commentator Peter Drury in a video that went viral. He further expressed his excitement about the platform which he believes will benefit other content creators as well.
“The FIFA World Cup gives us die-hard fans a great occasion to celebrate the beautiful game. As a content creator, Sounds of the World Cup has created a platform for us to reminisce and give Africans a reason to feel the World Cup fever,” Uria shared.
According to SuperSport, the campaign was designed to enable fans the opportunity not only to watch but take a proactive role in co-creating World Cup history.
