Kenyan Hip-hop Scene is alive and flourishing, from the success and recognition of Khaligraph Jones to Femi One’s winning 2022 AFRIMMA’s Best Female Rapper.
On Saturday, Nov. 19th Femi One won Africa’s best female rapper in AFRIMMA’s awards held in Dallas, Texas.
King Kaka, Khaligraph Jones celebrate Femi One’s AFRIMMA’s Win
Rappers in the Kenyan scene welcomed Femi One’s AFRIMMA’S Best Rapper win.
King Kaka recognized Femi One’s growth, writing;
“I’ve seen you grow, I’ve seen you build, now the world is ready for you.
Ladies and gentlemen I present to you the best Female Rapper in Africa.”
The Ligi Soo hitmaker added,

“Femi One your story is a miracle, God lives you.”
King Kaka also recognized the role of his record label in Femi One’s success, writing;
“The Kaka Empire Team Big Up and everyone who made it possible.”
Khaligraph Jones also penned a congratulatory message, writing;
“Femi Uno, congratulations on your Win. Always believed in you from day 1…”
Khaligraph also recognized the importance of the win,
“This is one of the biggest wins in East African Hip Hop, don’t sleep on this milestone.” He wrote.
The Utawezena hitmaker took to social media after her win.
“We won!!! Best Female Rapper In Africa. The first East African Female rapper to take it home, it’s such a big pat on the back for my team and I for all the work we’ve put in throughout the years,” she wrote in part.
Adding;
“This should be an encouragement for all the up and coming Female rappers! There is a spot for you in this industry, keep building, keep doing it, they are watching. Thank you all so much for the continued support,”
