Kenya’s First Ever Military Thriller Film ‘Mission To Rescue’ Set To Hit The Cinemas

Kenyan Movie Mission To Rescue is ready to hit the cinema screens. The action movie will begin airing from 2nd July 2021 at the Nyali Cinemax in Mombasa, Anga Imax Cinemas Diamond Plaza in Nairobi and Mega Cinemas in Kisumu.

The movie which was exclusively launched on the new Safaricom mobile video-on-demand platform dubbed Baze, earlier this month, is a Foxton Media production. So far, it has been receiving positive reviews with many praising its captivating plot and good quality of production.

Mission To Rescue which was directed by respected filmmaker Gilbert Lukalia, is a story about the bravery of the Kenya Special Operations Forces in their fight against terrorism along the Kenya-Somalia border.

This film boasts of a star-studded cast which includes: Melvin Alusa, Warsame Abdi, Abdi Yusuf, Emmanuel Mugo, Andreo Kamau, Abubakar Mwenda, Sam Psenjen, Anthony Ndung’u, Bilal Mwaura, Justin Mirichi, Abajah Brian, Melissa Kiplagat, Brian Ogola, and Mwamburi Maole. The Foxton media production also prides itself in being Kenya’s first military thriller action film. Below is the trailer:
