The captain of our ship, Badu Njoroge, was recently featured on Ngozi Odita’s weekly radio show, Afrika21 on BBox Radio. The topic of the show was “Best of Africa 2015” and Odita commended KenyanVibe on its reliable coverage of entertainment news and asked Badu to list his top five Kenyan moments during 2015.
“It’s not just [western] artists coming to Africa and performing and leaving like they used to,” Badu said of a developing trend. “It’s them saying, ‘I want to participate with what’s going on.’ That’s really important to look at.”
Curious to hear Badu speak about cultural trends and what he thought was the best Kenyan moment of 2015? Listen in on the full radio broadcast. Badu starts speaking around 48:17. Other guests on the Dec. 31 broadcast included Nigerian digital analyst Nubi Kay and Rwandan fashion designer Tayo Rugamba.
