Popular actor Charles Bukeko is dead. According to his family, the actor popularly known as Papa Shirandula passed on at Karen Hospital after a short illness.
Charles Bukeko became a household name after acting in the Kenyan film Malooned which later opened doors for him as the star of the famous Citizen Television comedy series, Papa Shirandula. The show which was his creation, received various accolades among them being a Kalasha Award in 2010.
Mr Bukeko’s on screen talent earned him a legion of fans and even made him star in various adverts with the most popular being the iconic Brrrrrrrrr advert he did for Cocacola in 2007.
Many Kenyans have taken to Twitter to mourn the fallen veteran film star and pass condolences to his family.
