It’s time to get busy. The ASFA nomination’s tool is now open – and we’re hoping to see some Kenyan fashion influencers receive some nods.
Otherwise known as the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards, they look to honour those blazing trails across the continent in categories as varied as:
Lifetime/ Style Fashion Icon Achievement award
Celebrating an individual for their significant contribution to the fashion industry – Sylvia Awori bagged this one in 2013.
Humanitarian Award for Work in Fashion
Outstanding Model of the year
Fashion Entrepreneur of the year
Fashion Designer of the Year
And it goes beyond just clothes –through to makeup, hair styling and fashion photography.
Influencers are not left out of the mix either – with categories such as most stylish or best dressed celebrity, most stylish artists and most fashionable music videos – paying respect to those behind the scenes who make it all look really good.
Although a Ugandan brand, ASFA takes into consideration those killing it with style across the rest of Africa, and has grown into one of the most visible events of the social calendar.
The event will take place on the 8th of December in Kampala.
