Kenyan Pilot Irene Koki Elated After Flying Rick Ross

Kenyan Pilot Captain Irene Koki Mutungi, who is also Africa’s first female Dreamliner captain, was recently on social media to show appreciation after flying rapper Rick Ross to Zimbabwe.

The Kenya Airways Dreamliner Pilot revealed that she was behind the flight and enjoyed flying the rapper who was in the country for a show.

“Hanging out 43,000ft with the business mogul, rapper, the boss Ricky Rozay @RickRoss. It was a pleasure flying you.”

In August 2016 Koki was named the first female pilot at KQ and also the first African female pilot on the 787. She was hired as the national carrier’s first female pilot in 1995 and served as the only female pilot for six years.

On October 22 this year she was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Aviator Africa Conference and Tower Awards held in Johannesburg, South Africa.
