Drama series “Mpakani” is set to premiere on KBC Channel on November 28 at 10 PM.
The series revolves around a Special Intervention Unit (SIU) of the administration police dispatched to the frontline in a fictitious town called Wajii, to deal with the threat posed by the notorious criminal Burhaan who is planning a major terrorist attack in Nairobi.
It has been produced by Kenyan media company Foxton Media and offers an inside look at the 6-unit team stationed at a regular Rural Border Patrol Unit (RBPU) base at the Kenya/Somalia border.
Directed by Victor Gatonye, the series stars Claude Zatara, George Mo, Michael Munyoki, Brian Abajah, Brenda Achieng, Emmanuel Mugo, Benson Ochungo, Kagendo Kaecha and Jamie Cannary.
Foxton Media is also behind “Mission To Rescue” which was the first military film in Kenya. It was Kenya’s selection for the 94th Academy Awards popularly known as the Oscars for 2022.
